Virtual Volunteering
Like every other aspect of life at the moment, the volunteering scene is changing quite quickly. Most face-to-face volunteering has stopped in line with the UK Government's advice on social distancing. UCL students and staff are still keen to volunteer. Here at the Volunteering Service, we've been gathering up examples of virtual volunteering you can do. Unlike other opportunities you'll see on…

The Global Diaspora Confederation (GDC) is the world’s largest diaspora-led civil society organization to connect and empower Diaspora Organizations at the global level. GDC aspires to build an inclusive movement where all Diaspora Organizations can be supported, belong to, discover and realize their ambitions in order to achieve peace, unity, and social and economic advancement for all.

The Marketing Team of the Marketing Department is in a vital role of promoting the work and mission of GDC. The Marketing Team needs community oriented, strategic and creative minds to bridge between GDC and diaspora organizations through visual impact. It coordinates and produces all marketing materials to achieve GDC goals.

As the GDC aims to reach out to diaspora organizations in all parts of the world, the Marketing Team ensures communication with them is effective and engaging. The Marketing Team also works closely with all teams and work can be very diverse. Hence the Marketing Team members will be expected to understand the work procedures and processes of the other departmental teams.
