Description
We need volunteers who can make people feel welcome in our community!
You will be the first person to greet people as they enter the space, making them feel welcome and explaining how our project works. You will be available to answer questions, point people to the right activities, and signpost them to appropriate services in the local area.
You will also be responsible for signing service-users into the space as they enter.
Duties
- Welcome and greet service-users as they enter
- Answer questions and point service-users to activities that might benefit them.
- Listen attentively to people's problems and signpost to appropriate local services.
- Register service-users in the space and sign them in each time they enter.
- Help out with setting up or setting down the space at the end of the day, and assist service users when possible.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
The local community - primarily the homeless, immigrants, people affected by the Cost-of-Living Crisis, and young people.
Training
We provide regular training in First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Safety, etc.
Time commitment
Preferably volunteers would commit to one 4 hour shift regularly.
