One of London's most exciting creative spaces, Cody Dock provides a gateway to the Lea River Park and is home to a gallery, gardens, cafe & bar that make this the perfect pit stop for exploring The Line Sculpture trail and Lower Lea River. Description
Join our pool of invigilators for the first major exhibition in The Boat House, Common Threads. Opening at Lighting Up the Lea, the exhibition explores the history of Calico and Prussian Blue in the area, and their influence on the global and local textile trade. It's the work of artist-in-residence Remiiya Badru, who has been collaborating with the Cody Dock community and the V&A East to produce the piece. A great opportunity if you're after museum or gallery experience, and love chatting with visitors.
Duties
- Welcoming visitors and answering general questions about the exhibition
- Keeping an eye on the space and exhibits while it's open
- Monitoring visitor numbers and flow through the space
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the exhibition team
Training
We will provide an induction where we will tell you everything about Project Common Threads and introduce you to our local heritage.
Time commitment
There will be many slots available between mid-September and the beginning of November — you can tell us when you are free, and we will accommodate you.
