We are looking for 12 Educational Specialists to support the planning and preparation of UCL’s Language & Cultural Day. Volunteers will assist in shaping the event by contributing expertise, offering feedback, and ensuring the success of the planned educational activities.
The UCL Language & Cultural Day involves UCL student volunteers delivering workshops for primary school children here at UCL. They will work as teams to teach children about cultural traditions, people, geography and language through fun and interactive activities. Your role will involve supporting these volunteers to plan their sessions and develop child-friendly activities.
We are seeking volunteers who have had some experience planning and delivering educational workshops for primary school children. This role will be particularly suited to students studying at the Institute of Education. You will use your expertise to help volunteers develop session plans and design age appropriate and engaging activities.
- Provide input, feedback, and guidance to student volunteers on their Language & Cultural Day activities during and after the planning meeting
Offer support to event organisers and participating students
Time commitment
The training session on 2nd April from 11am-1pm.
The Language & Cultural Day Planning Meeting on 7th May from 10am-12pm.
2 - No requirement to attend the actual Language & Cultural Day, which is taking place on 11th June, but attendance is encouraged
