Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School
The Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School, which is a not for profit organisation, opened in 2001 as a Prince's Trust Business. Since then it has won multiple Business of London Awards and has a growing reputation within the performing arts industry. Our guiding principle is to provide a safe, supportive environment for young people to explore the performing arts, whether they have dreams of…

Join our professional team working with young performers (4-18 years) from across the capital. We have schools in Docklands, Hackney, Greenwich and Camden, and each of our branches has a wide range of opportunities for volunteers.

Volunteering at our drama school is a great way to develop new skills, become part of our family and contribute to a worthwhile cause. This is a hands on role which has inspired and enabled previous volunteers to pursue further study and careers in teaching and facilitating dance, drama and singing. We have opportunities for regular positions at one of our drama schools as well as ad hoc events. Duties may include assisting the branch receptionist, supporting teachers in class, supervising students outside of the classroom and generally motivating the children in their learning and performance techniques.

Time commitment

We are looking for adults that are available either Saturdays or Wednesday evenings to volunteer at one of our branches who can commit to a minimum of one academic term starting in September.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who hold a current DBS check, but this is not a requirement as this can also be completed as part of the application process.
Application deadline
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
All successful volunteers are required to attend the staff risk assessment meeting online before the start of term to discuss the safety measures we will be putting in place for yourself and for the students (PPE for staff, hand hygiene, social distancing etc).

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch at any time with any questions, queries or problems you encounter.
