Age UK Camden aims to promote the well-being of all older people in the London borough of Camden and to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We provide a wide range of services and projects that aim to support people in later life, including those that are the most vulnerable and isolated.
Description
Age UK Camden is an independent voluntary organisation working to enhance the quality of life for older people living in the borough.
Our clients are the focus of our services, some are potentially vulnerable, and some who are living with dementia.
Henderson Court Health & Positive Living Hub is in Hampstead and Great Croft Health & Positive Living Hub is located near Kings Cross
The centres are open Monday – Friday and offers daily activities, emotional support, conversation, nutritious hot meals, and a sense of community.
Duties
- Help or lead quizzes and other activities
- Engage and spend time in conversation/ reading/ social interaction with members.
- Help with serving and clearing lunch and tea.
- Meet and greet people coming to the centre
- Other tasks identified by the managers

Short online courses in Safeguarding, Data Security and Fire Awareness
Time commitment
-The hubs are open Monday to Friday
-The key times we need people are between 10 -12 or 1-3pm.
-The day and time will be agreed between you and the centre manager based on your availability and the centre’s timetable
