The Royal Free Charity collects a wealth of data relating to patients, but the data is not integrated across the services.
They are seeking a team of student volunteers to utilise and integrate data from three core services:
- (i) Volunteers who support patients and staff;
- (ii) Welfare hub providing services and advice for patients
- (iii) Complimentary therapy services.
They want to make their impact reporting more organised and comprehensive. The ultimate aim of the project is to enable the team to be able to present data in an organised and compelling way for fund-raising purposes, demonstrating the real impact of funding on patients (e.g. readmission rates, discharge experience) and the community.
An additional bonus of the project deliverable would be to paint short, medium, and long-term roadmaps for the charity in terms of how to better organise, collect, and present their data for such purposes, or for other areas of concern such as mental health or oncology.
The DBS will be conducted by the charity for volunteers.
