Flamingo Chicks creates an inclusive community giving disabled children and those with illnesses such as cancer the opportunity to enjoy ballet alongside friends. We are passionate about providing an inclusive, fun and rich dance experience for children, by translating a version of ballet that is accessible to all, regardless of ability. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed Dance Volunteers to assist children during their dance classes to ensure that all children can experience the physical and wellbeing benefits of movement and dance. No previous dance experience is required.

Time commitment

Volunteers are expected to commit to a term of volunteering so children can build rapport with the volunteers and Flamingo Chicks' Teachers have the necessary volunteer support.
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
Some classes have moved on-line so Volunteers are able to work remotely.
Where Volunteering in person we ask Volunteers to wear face masks/visors and wherever possible to maintain a 2m distance.

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch at any time with any questions, queries or problems you encounter.
