Description
Offer a warm welcome to community members, encouraging them to use the space. Offer teas and coffees, entertain children and youth, generally make the space friendly, comfortable, and engaging.
Volunteers are free to make changes and be creative with our use of the space. All ideas are welcome, especially as you may hear back from service users about what we can do better!
Duties
Befriend community members that may be isolated or needing support. Direct them to our services, food support, or anything else they may need. Flag customers that may be urgent or in great need.
Keep the space clean and tidy at all times.
Serve hot meals, tea and coffee.
Encourage participants to get involved in our physical and social activity sessions.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
Volunteers will be working with the local community, a huge variety of demographics. We specifically receive a lot of vulnerable people through our doors.
Training
We will provide a volunteer induction, and ongoing supervision. We also hold monthly volunteer meetings for feedback and support.

Time commitment
Ideally a volunteer will commit to the same shift each week, of at least 4 hours.
