Age UK Islington
Age UK Islington is a charity which uses innovative techniques to provide support to Islington residents over the age of 16, enabling them to use self-help approaches to manage their own health and wellbeing. We focus on prevention: identifying those in need facilitating support before situations escalate. This, in turn, reduces over reliance on or inappropriate use of public funded services -…

As a Communication Ambassador you will be visiting selected Community Centers, GP surgeries as well as appearing at various events. You’ll be hosting information tables and sharing out flyers in the community.   To reach as many Islington residents as possible to let them know of the work Age UK Islington do and to let them know how we can assist with any help and support they may need.

Time commitment

Sometimes you will be needed more, whilst at other times of the year you will only be needed once a fortnight or once a month. This role can be combined with other volunteering opportunities within the organisation.
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
Volunteers should follow the public health advice to stay at home and avoid contact with other people if they have tested positive for COVID-19

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.
