To help children and young people with learning disabilities and/ or autism to build more independence and confidence in their lives, as well as helping reduce social isolation by building relationships and interacting more within their community.
- Engage in friendly conversation and encourage participation
- Help with set up and break down of group
- Support senior working running the group
- Help monitor the health and safety of the group
- Advocate and facilitate choice among attendees where able
- Willingness to learn the best way to communicate to the individuals within the group
