Over the Wall
Over The Wall provides free of charge residential activity camps to children and young people aged 8-17 affected by serious illness and their families. We give seriously ill children and their families a week of experiences that are memorable, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound- but we require a superb group of Volunteers to make the magic happen.

Over The Wall is a charity that helps children, young people and their families, living in the UK, reach beyond the boundaries of their health challenges to discover a world of mischief, magic and new possibilities. We do this by providing free of charge, transformative activity camps throughout the UK. We create an inclusive environment where children and young people can be themselves, thrive and grow.

Our Health Challenge & Siblings Camps are magical places where campers take part in fun activities including Sports and Games, Drama, Arts and Crafts and Discovery. Campers will be divided into teams based on their age groups of 8-10, 11-13, 13-15 and 15-17 years of age.

Teammates help create a fun, safe and supportive environment for children with health challenges and their siblings to try new things, have amazing impactful experiences, build confidence and time for reflection on all their achievements.

If you want to do something incredible, have fun and help create great memories for campers and meet like minded amazing people, apply today!

What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
All volunteers are required to provide proof of their vaccines and boosters. Before arriving on site we ask all volunteers, staff and campers to do a Lateral Flow Test before camp and again when arriving on site.

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch at any time with any questions, queries or problems you encounter.
