TCV aims to combat neglect of outdoor spaces whilst tackling healthcare inequalities at the same time. Get involved with Camden Green Gym on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 10:45am – 2pm. No experience necessary, just Join In, Feel Good and workout for nature! Feel free to attend as many or as few session as you like.

Duties

Camden Green Gym sessions cover a range of activity from practical conservation and maintenance of existing nature habitats, to planting new wildlife gardens, hedgerows, meadows, orchards or developing community gardens. We volunteer at nature reserves, parks and public resident gardens all year round. We run special nature workshops and wildlife surveys during some of the sessions in the year.

Who will the volunteers be working with?
You'll be working with likeminded volunteers of all ages and walks of life.
Training
Our trained leaders will guide you through the tasks and how to use the tools safely. We will be available to our volunteers for support throughout the session.

There are also a number of great opportunities for volunteers who want to apply to take on additional responsibility and training as Volunteer Officer and Trainee Green Gym Leaders. We can help to develop your practical project leadership skills by helping lead our Green Gym® projects that run every week in Camden. There are also many more opportunities to help support and develop your skills, with in promotion, administration, fundraising and project planning.

Time commitment

TCV provide gloves, tools and guidance but please bring your own lunch. Volunteers are advised to wear sturdy boots & clothes suitable for outdoor work that you don't mind getting dirty. We run sessions come rain or shine, so please take the day’s weather should be into consideration.
