Art Explora is a non-profit arts organisation that aims to share arts and culture with everyone - locally, nationally and internationally - and inspire new encounters between arts and audiences.

Do you love arts & culture? Passionate about combatting loneliness & isolation in care homes? Arts at Home is looking for volunteers to bring joy and pleasure to residents in care homes by delivering art sessions. 

Duties

Volunteers (in pairs) will lead a one-hour engaging and participatory sessions discussing works of art with a group of residents and care staff. 

There are several places in London where you can volunteer with us, including Battersea, Dalston, Euston Square, Limehouse, Leytonstone, Mile End, Shepherd's Bush, St. James's Park, Surrey Quays, Tottenham Hale. 

Who will the volunteers be working with?
Care home residents, care staff and the Art Explora team.
Training
Volunteer induction which will include step by step guide to the project, Arts at Home toolkit, dementia, communication and care homes.
Volunteer Handbook.
Bespoke training opportunities throughout the volunteer journey.

Time commitment

Once a fortnight / once a month.
Monday to Fridays for 1.5 hours either at 11 am or 2 pm depending on care setting.
Ideally commit to visiting the same care home for 3 to 6 months.
