Refugee Therapy Centre
To provide a safe space in which refugees and asylum-seekers can feel empowered to deal with their psychological difficulties, rediscover their abilities and rebuild their confidence to become active members of the society they living in.
Description

The volunteers will be joining a small team at the Refugee Therapy Centre, dedicating time to helping re-establish the centre after a  period of closure. The Refugee Therapy Centre has a 20+ year history of providing psychoanalytic psychotherapy to refugees and asylum seekers in London, as well as providing mentoring for education and social development. These services have made such a direct impact on people's lives, and we are looking for some amazing volunteers with skills in admin, finance/bookkeeping and IT to assist the new Senior Administrative Officer with daily tasks at the centre, to help build the centre back to its full glory!

Duties

General administrative support across a variety functions: maintain accurate records, organise and maintain effective filing systems, both paper-based and electronic, deal with office supplies, equipment, update policies and procedures as required by the Trustees, participate in updating and creating leaflets, administrative support with fundraising events.

Who will the volunteers be working with?
Senior Administrative Officer, Volunteer Coordinator, other volunteers and Trustees.
Training
Induction to the centre will be provided.

Time commitment

We would like a commitment of 1 day per week for 1 year preferably!
