Sustainability Consultancy Challenge Attendee FAQs

When will I hear back about my application?
We are assessing applications on a rolling basis, with acceptance emails going out in batches. All students will hear back on the status of their application by 2nd November at the latest.
I've been accepted. Is my place confirmed?
No. Due to a high volume of applicants, we require all attendees to RSVP to confirm their place. Your place is not confirmed until you have RSVPed. For teams, all team members must RSVP individually. Accepted students will receive the link to RSVP via email.
What size will teams be?
For those joining in pre-formed teams, team sizes must be 4 minimum and 6 maximum. For those applying as individuals, we will sort you into teams of size 6.
At what times will programming take place?
Each day will run 9.30-17.30 but we also encourage use of evenings for independent grouptime- it will be a fast-paced challenge and the best teams will make use of all time available.
- Days 1 and 2 will feature lots of in-person workshops as well as mentor slots
- Day 3 will feature lots of independent group work and mentor slots. The deadline to submit your proposals for the first round of judging will be on 5pm Wednesday 11th November.
- Day 4 (November 12) will start later around 11am and run until 19.30 to encompass the finals and networking drinks. Semi-Finals and Finals judging will take place on Day 4.
Where will the event take place?
The event will be spread across Bloomsbury Campus, including Bentham House (Faculty of Laws) and the Institute of Education. Exact locations will be communicated nearer to the event.
My dietary or accessibility needs have changed since filling in my application. What should I do?
You can contact us at [email protected].
Detailed accessibility information will be provided for all locations. Bentham House has step-free access via Endsleigh Gardens, as does the Institute of Education via Bedford Way.
How do I know I'm eligible to take part and win the prizes?
This challenge is open to all current UCL students of all levels of study. In order to be eligible to win the prize, each individual within the team must attend every day of the challenge. You must inform the social enterprise team in advance if you are not able to attend any of the days.
