Share your ideas for student-led change. We’ll help you take the next step.

Have a thought, suggestion, or idea for improving student life? Tell us what you’d like to improve at UCL or the Students’ Union.

Maybe you’d like to improve teaching and learning on your course, make your club or society more welcoming, or help the Union become more sustainable.

Students lead our Union, and your ideas can help shape what the Union works on.

Our Democracy team is here to support you in connecting with student representatives, the Union or UCL teams, or democratic meetings to help you take the next step.

Whatever matters to you, we’ll help you find the right place to start.

What happens next?

1. We read your suggestion

Our Democracy team will read what you’ve shared and consider what could help you move it forward.

2. We explore the options with you

We’ll email you within five working days to discuss possible next steps.

3. We help you connect

Depending on your suggestion, we can help connect you with a student representative, a Union or UCL team, or a democratic meeting.

Your Suggestion

You don’t need a finished idea or to know how to make it happen. A simple idea expressed in a few words or sentences can start a lasting legacy of change!

You can tell us how involved you’d like to be. Sharing a suggestion doesn’t commit you to leading a campaign or attending a democratic meeting.

Looking for help with your own circumstances?

You’re welcome to draw on your own experience when suggesting a change. If you need individual advice or support, our Advice & Support service may be a better place to start.

This form does not start a formal complaint and is not monitored for emergencies. Find guidance on complaints about UCL, complaints about the Union, or urgent mental health support.
