Each year, the Students’ Union publishes a comprehensive overview of student feedback from across the academic year. It aims to provide a snapshot of the issues facing UCL students and recommended practises for staff across UCL.
Previously this had taken the form of a single institution wide report. As your Education Officer, I am delighted to present our new faculty level approach. In addition to a short UCL-wide overview, starting this year we will publish individual faculty level briefings with faculty-specific recommendations.
Our network of fantastic academic representatives meets with academic and administration staff at Student Partnership Committee (SPC) meetings once a term to raise concerns and feedback on their experience of their courses.
These briefings drew on comments from these SPC minutes, and several survey-based data sources including national surveys like National Students’ Survey (NSS) and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey and local data sources such as UCL’s Annual Programme Survey for Postgraduate Taught Students.
Importantly, this report would not have been possible without the work of all of the student representatives who sit on the SPC meetings and work hard to ensure that student concerns are listened to and acted upon.

Thank you for your hard work over the last year.
