Getting photos of your volunteering activities

We encourage Project Leaders to get photos of their volunteering activities.  This is a great way to help you communicate the nature of your Student-Led Project. It is also useful for us, as we’re always looking for photos for our annual report and webpages.

You can book one of our photographers to take photos of one of your sessions or take photographs yourself and send them to us.

Photo permission

In order to use photos, we need permission from the people in the pictures. This permission must be obtained before the photos are taken.

If you work with adults, please ask them to complete the adult consent form.  This includes your project beneficiaries, staff from your partner organisation or any other adults delivering sessions for your project.  You will also need to collect consent from your volunteers. You can use the adult consent form below.

If you work with children or young people under the age of 18, you will need to get parental permission, so it is essential that this consent is obtained before your project starts delivering volunteering activity. This consent must be obtained through the school or organisation that you work with.  Your partner organisation will normally have their own consent form but if not, you can provide them with the child consent form below. If your partner organisation is using their own consent form this must include a request for the photos to be shared with organisations that they work with to deliver their work i.e. your Student-Led Project. If their consent form does not explicitly state that they can share the photos with organisations that they work with, then you will not be allowed to use those photos or share them with us.

If you have any questions regarding obtaining photo permissions, please email [email protected]

Photo Consent Forms

You can find the Photo Consent forms for children and adults in our SLP Forms webpage, under the "Managing Project" heading.
