Who is the LGBT+ Network Social Secretary?

The LGBT+ committee leads the Union in providing for the social lives and representational needs of LGBT+ students at UCL. As Social Secretary, you'll take the lead on organising a variety of regular social activities for the whole network that will be inclusive for all, and will work with the Students' Union bars on the delivery of ‘Glittoris’. You'll also work on the planning and delivery of social events for intersections as and when requested by the committee member representing that intersection. As a member of the committee, you'll also have a say in the overall direction of the Network.

What will you do as LGBT+ Network Social Secretary?

With training and support from Union staff, you will:
● Help develop and maintain the LGBT+ student community at UCL by organising regular activities, entertainment and social events
● Work alongside the Activities Officer and Welfare and International Officer to make sure that the Union's activities, clubs and societies are appropriate and accessible to LGBT+ students
● Liaise with the Union’s Events Department on entertainments for the LGBT+ student community

What is involved?

● Minimum of 2 Section meetings per term
● Attendance at any relevant LGBT+ Network and Union events
