Interviews will likely take place w/c 7th July, online.

To apply for this role, you must be available:

  • Workshop delivery will start from Monday 15th September. You must be in London with availability to deliver workshops during this week.

Purpose of the job:

Students’ Union UCL are looking for a Workshop Leaders to run workshops as part of our

sector-leading Active Bystander Programme for students across UCL.

The Active Bystander Programme aims to train UCL students to recognise and challenge problematic behaviours, such as bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct both on- and off-campus. The programme is part of our journey towards social and cultural change and compliments other initiatives across the Students' Union and UCL, such as UCL's Respect and Inclusion module or sexual harassment training provided for clubs and societies by the Union.

The Programme includes students undertaking an online course and attending a live workshop online and/ or in-person. Workshops are delivered between 9am and 6pm Monday-Friday during term time.

Each workshop will be delivered to a large group of students and will cover discussions about  scenarios, safe methods of intervention and how they can report and best challenge unacceptable behaviour when they witness it. Workshop leaders will run these sessions, after receiving thorough training and development support.

This year, we are expanding our programme. We are looking for a selection of Workshop Leader’s to also deliver our brand-new Consent and Tackling Sexual Violence workshops. The trauma-informed workshop will equip and empower students with essential skills, and knowledge around navigating sexual experiences, understanding sexual violence and challenging rape culture.
