Join us this summer as an Activity Leader, helping international students aged 8-17 learn new skills, grow in confidence, and have an unforgettable experience in the UK. 4-week residential posts at top UK boarding schools. 30 June to 6 Aug.  £541 to £669 gross per week (inc 12.07% statutory holiday pay) + free accommodation.

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Gain valuable experience working with young people
  • Develop leadership and teamwork skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.

Contract Details:

  • Locations:
    • Winchester College, Hampshire – 13-17-year-olds (2 July – 1 August)
    • Shrewsbury School, Shropshire – 11-16-year-olds (30 June – 30 July)
    • Benenden School, Kent – 8-15-year-olds (7 July – 6 August)
  • Working Days: Residential 6 days per week
  • Accommodation & Meals: Provided onsite at the school.

As an Activity Leader, you will:

  • Lead fun, structured afternoon sessions (sports, arts & crafts, drama, dance, baking, competitions).
  • Work with your team to plan and deliver exciting evening events (e.g. team challenges, quizzes, talent shows) for groups of up to 100 students.
  • Supervise students on excursions to cities, theme parks, and historical landmarks.
  • Assist with pastoral duties, ensuring students’ safety and wellbeing.
  • Welcome students during airport transfers and arrivals.

Person Specification

We're looking for candidates who are:

  • Passionate: Able to confidently lead sessions in sports, arts, dance, drama, or similar activities.
  • Experienced: Proven ability to supervise and motivate children or teenagers.
  • Responsible: Committed to safeguarding and student welfare, with a clear understanding of the importance of pastoral care.
  • Energetic & Creative: Ready to inspire students with enthusiasm and innovative ideas.
  • Proficient in English: Able to provide a clear, accurate model of the English language.

Desirable: Sports coaching qualification
