Welcome back for term two! Find your next event or taster session

We're lucky to represent such a diverse global community at UCL. We're home to more than 20,000 students from outside the UK, and our International Festival (Monday 3 Feb - Friday 7 Feb 2025) is an incredibly important annual celebration for our community. Every year, we host a week-long programme of activities and events, delivered for and by our students, to showcase and celebrate our internationalism and global outlook.

This year our activities are planned around the themes of Exploring, Connecting and Celebrating.

The festival is for everyone – you might be an international student keen to showcase your heritage, or a home student with an interest in learning and understanding more about the world.

From society taster events such as Bollywood dance classes with the Indian Dance Society, to film screenings, a fun 5-a-side World Cup event, and a huge Food Festival, there is so much to get involved in.

And new for 2025, we'll be taking over Gordon Square to host our events all week - so make sure you pop over, and check out what we've got going on!

Continue the legacy of the Festival

As part of last year’s International Festival celebrations, students were asked to submit recipes that reminded them of home. Those recipes now form a cookbook, Tastes Like Home, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Students' Union Hardship Fund.

You can purchase a copy for £15 from the Hanger at 25 Gordon Street, or click and collect.
