How can organisations prepare for net zero? Come and join the British Standards Institution (BSI) to learn more about the role of international standards in supporting organisations to transition to net zero and scaling global climate action!

We will review the powerful mechanism of international standards, led by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), including BSI and ISO's commitment to embed climate considerations into the standards system to support an equitable net zero transition: the 'London Declaration'.

This discussion will be followed by a workshop to introduce ISO’s development of the first ISO International Standard on Net Zero for organisations, expected to launch in early 2026. This work builds on the ISO Net Zero Guidelines launched at COP27, which reflect the global consensus-based definition of 'what good looks like' when it comes to net zero strategy development. The interactive session will build your skills in using standards to develop organisational net zero strategies, based on the principles and recommendations within the ISO Net Zero Guidelines.

Speakers: Georgia Cavanagh (Climate Action Training and Communications Manager, BSI), Shana Gallagher (Net Zero Engagement Manager, BSI)
