🏗️ Cantilever Competition | CivSoc × SEAD
Put your engineering skills to the test at the CivSoc × SEAD Cantilever Competition! This hands-on design challenge invites students to work in teams to design and construct a cantilever structure using balsa wood, before putting it through its paces in a live strength test.
The aim is simple: create the most efficient cantilever possible — one that can withstand the greatest load while making smart use of materials. Along the way, you’ll apply structural principles, problem-solving skills, and creativity in a fun, competitive setting.
