Thinking of pursuing a career in transport? You're in luck- in collaboration with UCL BUPS (Bartlett Urban Planning Society), we will be hosting a panel with four people who work in various jobs in the rail and transport industry! Our speakers will tell us about their jobs, their career path and answer your burning questions. You will also get the chance to speak to them one-on-one and build your network.
Among the line-up for the event, we have:
- a transport planner for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, and works on Active Travel projects, one of which was the implementation of Voi E-scooters in the borough. They work closely with TfL, finance teams and local stakeholders to secure funding and delivery.
- a head of Investment Project Structuring at the Ministry of the Presidency Office for the Development of Urban and Interurban Mobility Projects, Dominican Republic- who also worked on the first monorail in the Caribbean.
- a society alumnus who is now a transport planner for Surrey County
- a UCL alumnus and the president of TfL Society last year(!!), who now works for Siemens, as part of the Sales team within Rolling Stock and Customer Services.
