Celebrate 🖤❤️Black History Month💛💚 at Community Nights🌙

Join us for a night of celebration in the Black community at Mully's Basement Bar. Organised through your student networks and in collaboration with UCL African & Caribbean Society, get a taste of the spirit of community at UCL, make new friends and just vibe! Celebrate and raise awareness around Black History Month at this fantastic event.

This event welcomes all students from all walks of life; we would love to have you here to celebrate Black History! In the United Kingdom, Black History Month was first celebrated in October 1987. The year of 1987, recognised as the African Jubilee, was coincidentally the year of the 150th anniversary of 🌎Caribbean emancipation.

There will be:

• 🎫 Free Entry! No one should be left out, and it'll help you stick to your budget!
• An Afrobeats DJ and performers celebrating Black history 🪩
• A curated playlist of songs from Black artists + we'll let you request songs 🎶
• A quiz with exciting prizes!
• Drinks at the bar served by our wonderful student-staff 🍻
• 💟 Stickers to put on your laptop or phone case to show off your UCL spirit!
• Meet your student officers and societies like UCL African & Caribbean Society
• Raise money for The Cowrie Scholarship Foundation!
• and much more!

The serious stuff: 

• Entry is free, but ID is required
• Please note that you must be over 18 to enter our bars and purchase alcohol. Please bring a valid proof of age (Driving licence / Passport)
• Any non students must be signed in by a UCL student (one per student) UCL students must have a valid UCL ID, if you are a fresher you will need to show your enrolment email if you do not have a card yet. UK students are welcome with valid student ID.
