About us: We are a community centre in North London with services for people living primarily in Holloway, Archway and Tufnell Park. We were set up in 1972 by local residents and have retained its values to this day. The centre continues to promote an inclusive environment for people of all ages and walks of life, offering a full range of activities including sports and arts.
In August 2013 we set up an archive at Bishopsgate Institute with over 500 photographs and documents tracing the centre's fascinating activist and artistic history.
Our main activities:
- Lunch Club for Over 55's
- One O'Clock Club (stay and play drop in's for childminders and parents/carers)
- Hall Hire
- Youth Club
Volunteer Opportunities:
Want to gain some first-hand experience working for a small charity? We are a historical community centre in Whittington Park (Islington) offering a range of local services and activities for all ages. We are always in need for volunteers in range of roles, including
- working with older people
- working with toddlers
- office-based work
- assisting at events
- gardening
- delivering home cooked meals
- reception cover
We are a very small friendly team and our volunteer opportunities are a great placement for someone wanting to experience first-hand what it is like to work in a tight-knit community organisation.
