Age UK Kensington & Chelsea is a local charity working with and for older people. We aim to promote independence and well-being in later life, encouraging self-help and peer support. We offer a wide range of services and activities, and provide interesting opportunities for people of all ages to get involved as volunteers. Our services range from Information and Advice (benefit claim or housing) Befriending (one-to-one basis), supporting people with Dementia through our memory café & exercise for the mind groups, Shopping (taking people to their weekly shopping) IT support, Small DIY tasks (changing lightbulbs or assembling a flat pack), Chair based exercise (keeping people fit & mobile) Walking Support (to help people to recover their confidence after suffering a fall). We also provide a range of activities & events, language classes, painting & drawing, creative writing. Many of these post Covid we know run via Zoom.
