Cody Dock
One of London's most exciting creative spaces, Cody Dock provides a gateway to the Lea River Park and is home to a gallery, gardens, cafe & bar that make this the perfect pit stop for exploring The Line Sculpture trail and Lower Lea River.  We'd love to hear from any UCL students who'd like to volunteer with us.
Description

Volunteer with us to help observe, monitor and record the biodiversity of Cody Dock and the surrounding area, while learning about protection of the natural environment!

Our environmental volunteers survey and monitor the local environment and ecology, helping to study the importance of the lower Lea valley. This helps us make informed decisions about our site development and gives us the tools we need to make appropriate interventions, such as creating new habitats and conserving existing ones.

Join us on an intertidal survey, monitor water quality, join a butterfly or bat walk, record bird species or just come and plant a couple of hundred trees!

Duties

Wildlife surveys (bird watching, insect walks, bat nights)
Habitat conservation and creation including tree planting, meadow restoration and waterway habitat protection
