Description

Help us tell the stories that keep London playful.

We need volunteer photographers to capture moments at our corporate volunteer days, where teams of volunteers come together to help maintain and improve adventure playgrounds. Photos are a vital part of sharing our work, of recognising the amazing dedication of our volunteers, and of documenting our impact in preserving London’s adventure playgrounds. You may also help our case study volunteers with filming interviews.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking content capture experience in community and social impact projects.

For more information, please email [email protected] or visit our website at www.londonplaydesign.org.uk.

  • Take photos and videos that capture key moments at corporate volunteer days, working from briefs provided beforehand
  • Share photos/videos in a timely manner afterwards (we’ll agree timelines together)
  • Create content that tells a story
  • Film interviews for our case study work
  • Have your photos published on our site, partner channels, and in impact reports and case studies, with full credit given

If interested, you can also help with hands-on tasks at volunteer days to gain skills in teamwork and creative problem-solving.

Training
You'll have an initial chat and regular check-ins with our Student Volunteering & Social Impact Coordinator, including goal-setting, feedback and progress reviews.
Part of your induction will involve attending a corporate volunteer day to see our work in action.

Time commitment

Attend at least 3 corporate volunteer days a month in May, June, July and September. After your initial meeting, you’ll be booked onto your first 3 days and will receive a monthly list of available projects and can select those that fit your schedule. Projects run across London from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, with food/travel expenses up to £15 per day covered.
We’ll agree a timeframe for sending photos after each day, and any photos used publicly will be credited to you.
Application deadline

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working to keep you safe and supported whilst you volunteer.

You’ll never be out of pocket for volunteering through us – with in-London travel expenses to and from your volunteering guaranteed.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch with us at any time.
