Description

Do you love sharing your language and culture? Want to inspire young learners in a fun and engaging way? This is your chance!

Join us for a one-day cultural exchange where UCL students will lead interactive workshops for primary school children. Through games, storytelling, and hands-on activities, you’ll introduce them to new languages, traditions, and cultures—no teaching experience needed!

Duties
  • Work in teams to plan and deliver workshops for school children
  • Teach about cultural traditions, geography, and language through engaging activities
  • Collaborate with Educational Specialists who will provide support
  • Adapt informal language learning or cultural sharing experiences for a younger audience
  • Attend a planning meeting on May 7th and additional group meetings before the event
Who will the volunteers be working with?
The volunteers will be working with primary school children.
Training
1 - Guidance on session development
2 - All necessary resources and materials will be provided
3 - Educational Specialists will offer support and advice

Time commitment

1 - Attend the planning meeting on Wednesday, 7th May, 10 AM - 12 PM
2 - Organize at least one additional group meeting to finalize workshop details
3 - Be available on June 11th, 9 AM - 2 PM for the event
4 - Engage in a meaningful cultural exchange with local school pupils
