Pro Touch is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to increasing sports participation and creating employability opportunities for disadvantaged communities across London. We run a variety of sports programs, including multisport activities, holiday camps, and community engagement events. Our initiatives target individuals from toddlers to adults, and we aim to improve physical health, social inclusion, and career prospects for those in underserved areas. As part of our mission, we are looking to strengthen our impact by developing a Theory of Change (ToC) model, supported by data to guide our strategy and attract funding.
We are seeking a group of research volunteers to gather baseline qualitative and quantitative data to inform the development of our Theory of Change. This data will provide critical insights into the outcomes of our current programs and help us demonstrate how our initiatives contribute to social impact. The research will focus on collecting information that aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including employability, peaceful societies, gender equity, health and wellbeing, and education. The data gathered will also help us refine our social impact strategy and improve our programs to better serve the communities we work with.
- Data Gathering (Qualitative and Quantitative):
- Collect baseline data through interviews, surveys, and focus groups with program participants, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Use both qualitative (open-ended) and quantitative (statistical) methods to capture a broad range of insights on the impact of Pro Touch’s programs.
- Focus areas will include the effectiveness of sports programs, employability outcomes, participant wellbeing, and community engagement.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze the collected data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings that will inform the Theory of Change.
- Provide a clear and actionable summary of the baseline data, with an emphasis on aligning the findings with SDGs such as employability, health and wellbeing, gender equity, and education.
