As an Interior Design Volunteer, you will help transform shared living spaces for individuals, creating environments that feel welcoming and supportive. You’ll consult with the people you support, use creative tools like mood boards and visual aids, and assist with various aspects of the project, from design planning to physical transformations.
- Plan and conduct consultation sessions with individuals in allocated services.
- Gather ideas and preferences from the people you support.
- Use visual aids (pictures, drawings, material samples) to facilitate discussions.
- Assist in creating mood boards reflecting individual preferences, aligned with sensory needs.
- Encourage eco-friendly design options.
- Organize shop visits to gather design inspiration, documenting the process.
- Maintain and digitize a physical scrapbook documenting the project.
- Assist with the second phase of the project, such as purchasing products, painting, and decorating (excluding heavy-duty tasks).
