LCCA was founded in 1978, with the aim of developing and expanding businesses in Chinatown and representing British Chinese to engage effectively with the British government. LCCA was also devoted to working closely with the London Chinese Community Centre in providing a wide range of essential services for the many Chinese “living in the United Kingdom and with a heart connecting to China'.

Celebrate the year of the horse by becoming a volunteer for the largest Chinese new year celebration outside Asia, taking place on 22nd February in the heart of London! This vibrant and dynamic event, organized by the London Chinatown Chinese Association (LCCA) and supported by the Mayor of London, the Greater London Authority, and the City of Westminster, attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees across the UK and beyond.

As a volunteer, you will be part of a grand celebration that features a spectacular parade, stage performances, cultural activities, and interactive zones. It’s a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Chinese culture, build valuable skills, and contribute to an iconic festival that brightens London's streets each year.

Commitment Details:
• Most volunteers are required from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Parade-specific roles require availability from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Training
The training will begin in early February , with position-based training.

Time commitment

One day event on Sunday 22nd February 2026 from 8:00 to 17:00 with morning and afternoon shifts system.
