Description

To further develop and strengthen our LGBTQ+ youth mentoring service, we are seeking a group of four dedicated volunteers to join a research project focused on evaluating the impact and cost-effectiveness of our LGBTQ+ youth mentoring service. This study will explore how our mentoring program supports LGBTQ+ young people in addressing key needs, including mental health, social support, and resilience-building. The insights generated from this project will help us refine our service and demonstrate its value in promoting well-being among LGBTQ+ youth.

We aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of the primary needs of LGBTQ+ young people, particularly regarding mental health, social support, and resilience-building. This research will allow us to analyse how our mentoring service meets these needs, the specific outcomes it achieves, and its overall effectiveness in supporting our young participants. Additionally, we seek to identify areas where our mentoring program could be enhanced to address unmet needs.

Duties
  • Collaborate with elop to define the parameters and scope of the cost-benefit analysis.
  • Identify and gather relevant data, with support from the organisation, to ensure the analysis is comprehensive and accurate.
  • Perform the cost-benefit analysis, including calculating potential economic benefits and costs associated with implementing mentoring services.
  • Interpret the results of the analysis and contribute to a report summarizing the findings, which will be used to inform policy and advocacy efforts.
