Camden Disability Action is evaluating the accessibility and social impact of its meeting spaces. This research involves analysing room booking data, assessing the demand for accessible venues, and identifying barriers experienced by disabled community members. Findings from this analysis will inform strategic improvements, enhance accessibility, and support efforts to secure funding for free or subsidised bookings for disabled-led groups.
We are seeking students to undertake qualitative analysis of booking patterns, stakeholder experiences, and accessibility issues. This is an exciting opportunity to engage deeply with real-world data, draw out meaningful insights, and identify overarching themes. For those interested, the role may also extend beyond the initial analysis phase, providing opportunities to produce outputs for reports, presentations, and advocacy materials that highlight key findings and recommendations.
This opportunity is ideal for students interested in accessibility research, social impact evaluation, data analysis, and charity development. Volunteers will gain practical experience in stakeholder engagement and evidence-based recommendations that directly support a disability-led organisation.
- Analyse existing room booking data to assess occupancy rates, income, and usage trends.
- Identify the proportion of bookings from disabled individuals, charities, and corporate groups.
- Conduct questionnaires and interviews with past and potential room users to understand their experiences and accessibility needs.
- Compare findings with evidence from other accessible space providers in London.
- Develop a final report with recommendations to improve accessibility, increase bookings, and attract sponsorship for free community use.
