Purpose of the job

We’re seeking creative and self-motivated students to assist in content creation for our website and multiple social media channels (including TeamUCL, Project Active, TeamUCL Gym and TeamUCL Leagues Instagram accounts). From coming up with new ideas to producing reels, you will help to communicate key messages to students and keep the Union’s social media engaging and on trend.

We are the representative body for University College London’s (UCL) students, one of the most diverse student communities in the world.  UCL students have the potential to do anything, and the Union leads an essential role in helping them to achieve things they may have never thought possible. As a charity we deliver a wide range of services and representative functions for students.

Job description

 

  • Support TeamUCL staff to plan content for social media and the website that helps the Union deliver its priorities.
  • Develop and pitch new ideas for social media content, in line with the Students’ Union’s brand and tone of voice.
  • Stay up to date and provide insight to the team on current trends and upcoming events.
  • Record, film, and edit video content to be used across social channels.
  • Where appropriate, use professional equipment to capture video and image-based content.
  • Where appropriate, edit video and image-based content on professional editing software.
  • Attend training and development opportunities.
  • Assist with any other tasks as required.
