About the job

£40p/h, 5-10 hours per week, from January to June 2026

You will be working with 10-15 Year 13 students (aged 17-18) at Bobby Moore Academy, a UCL East partner school located opposite the UCL East campus on the Olympic Park.

You will be required to offer lessons in the Edexcel Economics B A-Level course. Course materials (lesson slides and textbooks) will be available for you to use from the Head of Department, however you are welcome to provide your own if you prefer.

Experience in the Edexcel Economics B course is strongly preferred (for example, if this is the course you took at A-level).

Teacher training is not required, although experience working with this age group will be an advantage. You will be supported by colleagues at the school when offering lessons to the sixth form students.

The school will conduct an enhanced DBS check on appointment. You will have another staff member with you for your lessons, until such time that you receive your enhanced DBS certificate, for safeguarding reasons.
