Students for Global Health Society: Secretary

Hi, I am Miranda - and I will be running for Secretary of Students for Global Health. As someone deeply passionate about global health, I believe I can make a meaningful contribution to the organisation by enhancing communication and organisation within the society.

I have learnt much about the operations of SfGH UK over the meticulous training done over weekends and have met a lot of like-minded individuals who have a drive and passion for advocacy and change; and I would love to bring that experience home, and show you how we as students can also make empowering changes to large issues around global health.

As Secretary in the coming year, I will prioritise transparent communication within the society, ensuring that members are informed and engaged with our initiatives, and what our goals are – and how they align with SfGH UK. I’ll also focus on organising events and academic talks that align with our mission to raise awareness about global health issues and make a positive impact; and most importantly to help you make the most out of our membership (whether it be the mentorship scheme, or other networking opportunities over the academic year!)

Hope this calls for a returning act as there's much I'd love to do within this society!
