Ekampreet Singh

My drive to become Sikh Society President is fuelled by a desire to turn the principles of Seva and Simran into a lived reality for every student on campus. My time as First Year Representative provided the perfect vantage point to understand our community's pulse; I wasn't just observing, I was actively contributing to our collective spiritual and social growth. From helping to coordinate our Kirtan Darbar to ensuring our social gatherings felt like a "home away from home," my focus has always been on the impact: creating spaces where every Sikh student feels seen, supported, and spiritually recharged.

I want to lead because I believe our society should be a bridge between our rich heritage and our professional futures. My work as a Student Ambassador for Sikhs in Law, where I have hosted high-profile networking events and moderated careers panels, has shown me the incredible power of representation. I intend to bring that same energy to the Presidency - building a mentorship network that honours our roots while propelling our members toward their highest ambitions.

My leadership is backed by a proven track record of bringing people together, earning two Diana Awards for my commitment to inclusion. By blending the seva practiced at FeedMyCity with the skills developed during my first year at UCL, I aim to lead a society that is as ambitious as it is spiritually grounded. Together, we can ensure the Society remains a beacon of faith, excellence, and unwavering community spirit.
