Alice Lu Brandao Da Cunha Faria

I have extensive experience of organising events for large groups of people, coming from my days in a sailing club. I have organised tasters, parties, dinners, games and much more. I love hosting and do weekly dinners for many people, which have severely improved my organisation skills. I would love to organise fun events to bring all four years of MPBE students together, in a fun and cheap way!

Inka Maskiewicz

Hi all!

My name is Inka and I'm a second year Biomedical Engineering student. I am standing for Events Executive because I want to connect ambitious students with industry opportunities that build confidence for further studies and careers. University is not only about lectures or exams - it's about immersive experiences that help you explore possibilities, grow your network, and open as many doors as possible.

I am a responsible and organised individual who values proactivity, clear communication and attention to detail. I am driven to make every event purposeful and engaging so that our community becomes stronger and more connected. I have experience organising and leading events through virtual work experience, planning and conducting interviews with Astrobiology researchers, which strengthened my initiative, networking abilities and professional communication.

As Events Executive, I will bridge the gap between academics and the real world, while fostering a welcoming atmosphere within the society. I will deliver a diverse line-up of events ranging from industry speakers across a range of careers and sectors, to CV workshops and internship guidance panels for practical support. Alongside these, I will organise group study sessions, wellbeing and quiz nights and charity fundraisers, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy and benefit from.

Most importantly, I will listen to the community to deliver events that reflect their interests and ambitions.
