As an English Literature student considering a Law Conversion, I know firsthand how overwhelming it is to go about improving your "commercial awareness" when you aren't really sure how the commercial world works. I think LawForAll society, especially its newspaper, is a really valuable tool at helping make this information accessible and helping people believe they may have a future in the law.

Rabani Malhotra

I’m standing for LfA Blog Editor because writing has already been such a meaningful part of my involvement in the society. Contributing to the blog has allowed me to reflect on issues around access, representation, and navigating law as a student, and I want to help shape that space more intentionally.

I think the blog should feel thoughtful but also approachable. It should be a space where students can share well-researched ideas, insights, and perspectives in a way that is clear and engaging. The most impactful pieces are those that combine careful research with a readable style, presenting information in a way that is both informative and accessible.

As Blog Editor, I would focus on encouraging a range of voices and topics, making the submission process clear and supportive, and working collaboratively with writers to develop their pieces while preserving their individual style. I would also aim for consistency in publishing so the blog feels active and engaging throughout the year.

For me, the blog is not just content. It is a platform for community and reflection within LfA. I would approach the role with care, organisation, and a genuine interest in helping others feel confident sharing their work.
