Patrycja Miszczyk

I am running for Treasurer of the Kickboxing Society as I am eager to join a committee that strives to support all members and ensure the club runs efficiently. I believe I am a strong candidate for this role due to my excellent organisational and management skills, which are essential for a Treasurer. I am confident in my ability to manage the club’s finances responsibly and ensure members gain the maximum benefit from their memberships. This includes allocating sufficient funds for new equipment and social events. Furthermore, I will use my interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with fellow committee members to plan and secure funding for future initiatives. I am committed to supporting the Kickboxing Society and helping to make training sessions and club activities as enjoyable and successful as possible for everyone.

Joanna Maltby

Hello! My name is Joanna and I study Natural Sciences.
Kickboxing has been amazing for helping me cope with the stress of the year, and the community- from John to everyone at the sessions- is wonderful. I’m standing for Treasurer because I’d like to contribute to the club more next year and get more involved.

I'm applying to be treasurer because of my past experience in organising events, managing budgets, and planning activities. Throughout school, I was responsible for getting the tennis team organised for group dinners, trips and fixtures away. Consequently, I’m used to having to work within an allocated budget, track spending, and make sure events and team equipment are cost‑friendly and accessible to everyone. These skills translate directly into what a Treasurer needs: organisation, transparency, reliability, and a passion for keeping the society active!

As Treasurer, I would prioritise: clear communication + spreadsheets so everyone knows where money is going and why, accessibility + keeping social events and merchandise budgets reasonable so no one feels excluded, and working closely with the committee to make sure everything is accounted for.

I’d love the opportunity to help the club stay organised and welcoming as we continue to grow. I hope you’ll consider voting for me!

Calum McCartney

I have really enjoyed my time with the UCL kickboxing club this year, and would like to do my part to ensure its successful running for the year to come. My background is in maths so I feel I would be good at dealing with the money and budgeting side of things, and I was president of my kickboxing club at my previous uni so I have experience in filling out the forms needed to keep a club like this running.

Louisa Bond

Hi! I'm standing for Treasurer of UCL Kickboxing Club because I would be 100% dedicated to ensuring the society is able to run accessible events where members can socialize, connect and have fun together outside of sessions. I am extremely well-organized in my day-to-day life, and am very accustomed to keeping an eye on my budget as a student. As a result, I would put my all into making sure the club can thrive sustainably, and ensure that suggestions from club members play a key role in the events we would plan as a committee. Your vote would mean a lot!

Thanks, Louisa
