Karting Club: Treasurer

This year, I have been honoured to serve as events executive for Karting club, as well as media executive the previous year, helping to promote and organise the clubs fantastic social and classic karting events. This year in particular, I helped successfully expand the variety of tracks on the club’s calendar to two new venues: TeamSport Harlow and High Wycombe, the latter being a new favourite of mine and several other members! In general, we organised a record 20 events, over 8 different venues, highlighting a successful year for the club. Additionally, being part of the committee and attending as many events as possible for 2 academic years, I have a strong knowledge of the behind-the-scenes work required to run the club and plan out our range of events.  

As treasurer, I aim to keep the social karting events calendar as exciting and accessible as possible for all members, introducing a new lower membership fee class for those who can only attend a handful of events and can’t justify committing to the full membership price, as well as continuing to keep our discounted event prices as low as possible. Also as a huge F1 and motorsports fan in general, I am committed to continue running our F1 race watch-alongs which bring so many fellow fans across UCL together, making sure the club offers as much to our members off track as well as on it!
