- Ensure that all income and expenditure is accounted for.
- Work with the network convenor regarding budgets for any proposed events and activities.

As an international student myself, I know how much the right event or the right support at the right time can mean — and how quickly that disappears when funding isn't managed well. I want to make sure the International Students Network has the financial foundations to actually deliver for its community. I've managed budgets hands-on through charity bake sales, and I bring the same careful, accountable approach here. My goal is simple: ensure every pound the network has is spent where students feel it most — and that no good idea ever falls through because of poor financial planning.
I bring three things to this role: lived experience, financial accountability, and genuine care. As an international student, I understand this community from the inside — the challenges, the moments that matter, and what meaningful support actually looks like. I've handled real budgets through charity bake sales, balancing income and expenditure to maximise impact for a cause. As UCL's Course Rep, I've learned how to work within institutional structures and get things done. I'm organised, dependable, and treat every responsibility I take on as something worth doing properly.
I'm an international student who knows what it feels like to find your community at UCL — and how much it matters that the network supporting you is run well. I'm not just passionate about this role, I'm qualified for it: I've managed real budgets, I understand accountability, and I already know how to work within UCL's structures as Course Rep. As The Triple Treasurer, I’ll turn the ISN into a powerhouse mirroring UCL’s disruptive spirit. To be Thorough, I’ll launch a ‘Resource Roadmap’ to track every pound, ensuring funds drive high-impact events. To be Trustworthy, I’ll leverage my fundraising expertise to secure multi-year corporate sponsorships and postgraduate pathway grants. To be Transparent, I’ll host monthly drop-in ‘Open Ledgers’, so our diverse community can see exactly how their fees are reinvested. I won’t just oversee a budget, I’ll expand our capacity to advocate, celebrate, and support every student.
I bring the proven track record of The Triple Treasurer. Leading a civil service club of 130 members, I rose from Treasurer to President—a transition fueled by the Trust I built through meticulous financial integrity. To the ISN, I bring Thorough technical expertise: I have mastered complex fundraising, negotiated high-impact contracts, and optimised limited resources to maximise community benefit. My experience is grounded in managing an ‘Open Ledger’ for a large organisation, ensuring Transparent communication. I offer a blend of seasoned leadership and fiscal discipline.

If elected, I aim to:
- Create an inclusive social environment that celebrates cultural diversity and builds a strong sense of community and belonging for international students.
- Secure more funds for cultural societies to organise affordable social events.
- Host engaging events, including cultural networking opportunities, encouraging greater interaction among UCL's 18,000 international students.
- Organize career fairs featuring companies from various countries to support international students pursuing global career opportunities, including those in their home countries.
As past year’s International Students' Network Social Secretary, I will bring strong organisational and communication skills from my experience. As an international student in the UK for 6 years, I understand our challenges and believe my firsthand experience equips me to advocate effectively for our community. My bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese helps bridge language barriers, promoting better communication. Most importantly, my enthusiasm for enhancing the student experience will drive me to create enjoyable and inclusive social opportunities for all international students.

I will ensure international students’ voices are heard and their concerns addressed. With my experience in event coordination, bilingual communication, and advocacy, I am the ideal candidate for this role.
