Jonathan Sieuw

As Social Media Officer, I will employ the knowledge I have gained from serving in this role for the last year, and over 6 years of experience managing my Aviation Photography and General Photography social media to:

  • Answer any questions posed by members, whether on WhatsApp, FaceBook, Instagram, or other social media, and raise any concerns or feedback to the wider committee
  • Ensure transparency and clear communication throughout the year
  • Provide regular updates and timely reminders for socials and other events
  • Create regular and engaging posts, with a variety of content (on Instagram, a mixture of posts, stories, videos, reels…), ensuring smooth communication and with the aim of growing the social media accounts
  • Frequently take, edit, and upload photos and videos of UCL flights (whenever I’m at the airfield)
  • And anything else Gliding Club members wish to see from their Social Media Officer!
Jiayi Zhou

Hi everyone! I’m Jiayi, and I’m running to continue serving as your Social Media Officer for the UCL Gliding Society.

Since being elected in Term 1, I’ve worked to make our social media more responsive, informative, and engaging. I’ve focused on answering member queries quickly, highlighting everything from flight days to society events — making sure our platforms are not just aesthetic, but genuinely useful.

Over the past term, I’ve learned what works for our community, posts that make both current and prospective members feel included. I’ve also built a stronger rhythm of communication so our pages stay active, professional, and aligned with the spirit of the society.

If re-elected, I want to build on this foundation — introducing more structured content, and expanding our reach to attract more students to gliding. My goal is not just to post content, but to create a platform that connects, informs, and represents us at our best.

Thank you for your support so far.
