Yossi Slonim

Hi, I’m Yossi, a 1st year History undergraduate and I would love to be your next Israel soc Welfare Officer.

I’ve had experience in looking out for the welfare of other people such as through Bnei Akiva UK as a Madrich and through local youth Minyanim. I feel it is very important for there to be proactive leadership in Israel soc which both protects and advances the welfare of the community.

So, why should you vote for me?

I will continue to promote and further extend the following areas:

Approachability- Perhaps the most important thing in welfare is the ability for individuals to feel comfortable to approach and discuss their feelings. I want to further develop an atmosphere where this is ingrained in the Israel soc community.

Empathetic- Welfare officer is a two-way street, along with creating an approachable atmosphere, as welfare officer I want you to feel heard and welcome into the community, where there are always people who you can turn to.

Proactivity- In addition to being reactive to the ever-changing climate, I will look to make welfare an area which is proactive, designing programmes to create awareness about a range of topics, from mental health to leading welfare initiatives from the bottom-up.

Your'e welcome to find me or drop me a message if you have any questions!
