Hi! I’m Emma and I would love to be your new Women’s Health President. I’ve got big shoes to fill from Abbie, but here goes!

I’m a 1st year student and, alongside my passion for women's health, I love running, walking my dog and exploring London! My aim is to work in women's health one day so finding a society that cared about women's health as much as I do at Freshers Fair was unreal -  I joined instantly! I've loved every event this year and this society has quickly become one of my favourite parts of Uni life - from pub quizzes to lectures!

As President, I will be organised, reliable and genuinely committed to listening to your ideas and feedback. I’ll run regular social events, ensuring that there is something for everyone! Ranging from a coffee and croissant run club, to talks, picnics and pub trips! I am keen to make and build connections in this society, not just with eachother but with other universities too because women’s health is close to all our hearts - from menstrual care, to contraception. We each have our own story. I want this society to remain a safe space where we empower, learn and support one another.

This society made UCL feel like home, especially through the friendships I’ve made. It’s small but mighty and truly is a family. I would be honoured to oversee the growth and flourishment of this society and give back what it has given me in my first year here.

I’ll work hard to make this society one of the best there is at UCL - because it deserves to be.
