Tanisha Bajaj

Wanna be part of the energy transition but don’t know where to begin? Let me get you started with the University Sustainability Initiative!

A little context, I’m Tanisha, a first-year Chemical Engineering at UCL. I joined the Energy Society with the same ambition above and took part in the USI Rolls-Royce term project, which made me a better problem-solver, leader and communicator. Moreover, I know how they run, what works, and where there's room to do more. I'm not coming in blind. I'm coming in with ideas.

Outside the society, I've been deepening that picture — as a student member of the Energy Institute, I attended their Young Professionals Network event a few weeks back and connected with industry leaders who reinforced something I already believed: students who show up early are the ones who shape what comes next.

As your officer, here's what I'd do to optimise you experience:

More panels, speaker events, and industry conversations all year around, to understand the sustainability and energy transition conversation from multiple perspectives. Fresher ideas to make sustainability feel less like a module and more like a movement on campus.

What I bring is simple: I get things done. I'm a fast problem solver, I communicate quickly, and if you need something — an answer, a decision, a plan — I'll get back to you. I've led initiatives from the ground up, managed teams, and delivered in high-pressure environments. I know how to build things that WORK.

Vote Tanisha for USI officer!
